Stunning 18th ct Chinese jade brush pot directly from the collection of Belgian Nobility. The carving is absolutely fantastic-all four sides are expertly carved with scrolls, ruyi heads and clouds. This probably dates to the 18th century / early Qing Dynasty /Qianlong Period or earlier. It comes from the collection of a family of aristocracy in Belgium. We bought it directly from the son whose mother was aristocracy and he vividly remembers living/traveling with her all over Europe and the Belgian Congo. She was an avid collector and he remembers all of the antique stores and flea markets they would visit back in the 1940s/50s and 1960s. He inherited this piece with many others from her. This piece was one of her favorites. It is small measuring just 2.75 tall. The color of the jade changes from white in the sunlight, to a pale celadon/grey color inside-some inclusions throughout.
